Privacy Notice

Updated October 6, 2026

This notice explains how Drivers Insurance Agency, Inc., doing business as TexasVehicleInsurance.com, handles nonpublic personal information when you ask about or obtain personal insurance through us. It applies to current and former customers. Insurance companies involved in your quote or policy may also provide their own privacy notices.

Information we collect and use

We use information to respond to requests, obtain insurance quotes, help service policies, handle transactions, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations. Depending on the service, information may come from:

Only provide information about another driver if you are authorized to do so. Do not send Social Security numbers, payment-card details, or other sensitive documents through ordinary email or a general inquiry. Ask us for an appropriate method when an insurer needs additional information.

When information is shared

We may share the application, transaction, and reporting information described above with insurers, your selected agents or brokers, claims representatives, and service providers when needed to arrange or service insurance. Disclosures may also be made to consumer reporting agencies, regulators, courts, or law enforcement as permitted or required by law, including for fraud prevention or legal proceedings.

Services and joint marketing: where permitted by law, we may share application information (such as contact and vehicle details) and transaction information (such as coverage and premium details) with companies performing marketing services for us, or with financial institutions, such as insurers, with which we have a joint marketing agreement. These arrangements must be subject to the contractual restrictions required by applicable insurance privacy law; they do not authorize unrestricted use of your information.

We do not share your personal information with other companies for their independent marketing without your consent. You do not need to opt out to prevent that sharing. This does not prevent disclosures needed to provide insurance or other disclosures permitted by law. We apply the same privacy protections to information about former customers.

Your choices and communications

You may contact us to ask about information sharing or to withdraw a marketing permission you previously gave us. Some information sharing is necessary to provide a requested service or meet legal obligations and cannot be stopped through a marketing preference.

Reading this notice or requesting an insurance quote does not itself enroll you in marketing text messages. Any consent to marketing texts must be obtained separately. Phone numbers may be used or shared when needed to respond to your request or provide insurance; marketing text-message consent is not permission for unrelated companies to send their own marketing.

Safeguards

Access is limited to employees and authorized service providers who need information for their work. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards. No website or transmission method can guarantee complete security.

Reviewing and correcting information

To request access to or correction of information we hold, write to Customer Service, Drivers Insurance Agency, Inc., P.O. Box 446, Kewanee, IL 61443. This is our mailing address, not a Texas office. Include your name, mailing address, policy number if applicable, and a description of the information or correction requested. We may verify your identity before responding. Call (844) 431-1234 for help with a request or to obtain a paper copy of this notice.

We will explain what information is available and how to request corrections. Access may be limited where law permits, including for protected legal or claim information. Errors in a consumer report may need to be disputed with the reporting company; we can help identify the source of information used in your transaction.

Website cookies and other websites

Cookies may support website functions, including administrative sign-in. You can manage cookies in your browser settings. Links to insurers or other websites take you to services governed by their own privacy notices. This notice does not describe those companies’ separate practices.

Insurance financial information is subject to applicable federal and Texas insurance privacy requirements, including the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, Texas Insurance Code Chapter 601, and 28 Texas Administrative Code Chapter 22. More information is available from the Texas Department of Insurance.

We will provide initial, revised, and periodic notices when required by applicable law. You may retain or print this notice and request another copy by telephone. Updates will appear here with a revised date; any notice or choice required before a change in information sharing will be provided as required by law.
